What is
Mikkeller Bar Paris
?
Mikkeller location number 44 turned out to be in Paris, co-owned by brothers Aaron and Bryce Dessner of the American band The National.
“We are really excited to now finally be able to showcase our beer to a French audience, and this is a perfect time because the selection of craft beer in Paris is still limited, but at the same time we feel that Parisians are ready to try something new. The wine culture obviously has always been dominant in French gastronomy,” Mikkel Borg Bjergsø, CEO and founder of Mikkeller, explained at the opening.
Knowledgeable bartenders are in charge of the 20 taps behind the specially-designed yellow brick counter. The bar features Mikkeller beer and beers from other top craft breweries in the world. Simple dishes, sausages, crisps, and other beer snacks are also on the menu.
Parisians visiting the Mikkeller bar will experience something much different from the traditional beer pub filled with leather sofas and sports on flatscreen TVs. Mikkeller Bar Paris is a fun mix of traditional Scandinavian craftsmanship and Parisian nightlife culture, coming across as warm and friendly by presenting Danish furniture design in a minimalist yet boldly-decorated room. A prominent feature is the yellow brick tiled floor, which Danes will recognize from traditional Danish church floors, as well as the floor of Denmark's internationally-renowned Louisiana Museum of Modern Art.
