Mikkeller Beer Week 2026 – an introduction

Warm up for Mikkeller Beer Celebration Copenhagen by diving headfirst into Mikkeller Beer Week - five days packed with unforgettable events across Copenhagen. Expect tap takeovers, exclusive bottle releases, and interesting culinary experiences hosted at some of the city’s best venues.Mikkeller Beer Week is a chance to meet, socialize and nerd out with fellow beer enthusiasts in more intimate surroundings, while tasting some rare brews. This is your chance to go beyond the festival floor and really connect with the brewers participating at MBCC. Some of the events take place in the days leading up to the events, others during the weekend of the festival. Some are nerdy, others rowdy. Most of them have limited capacity and tend to sell out fast, so don’t sleep on it. Grab your tickets while you can!

This year, we’re taking things to the water. We’ve rented boats for a beer tasting at the Copenhagen canals. It’s a chance to explore the waterfronts of your favourite Scandinavian city while savouring beer from 3 sons and Mikkeller in a guided beer tasting. At Warpigs, we’re hosting morning events with stouts and waffles prior to the first sessions of MBCC. It’s a chance to wake up your taste buds with brews from Toppling Goliath (yup.. Morning’ Delight) and Firestone Walker Brewing Co. Early risers may also enjoy the Beer Geek Breakfast at Viktoriagade – a long-standing tradition honouring Mikkeller’s most legendary brew. Expect pastries, pour-over coffee from Coffee Collective, and a carefully curated lineup of heavy stouts.

Another tradition is the Sunday recovery session at Warpigs, pairing up crispy fried chicken, world-class meads, and heavy stouts with Superstition Meadery and Vault City, during an afternoon designed to chase away the Sunday blues in the most delicious way possible.

Bofkont is yet again hosting a Lambic and Cheese Pairing - this time in the historic Glyptotek of Carlsberg which is a truly unique setting for Mikkeller Beer Week. Bofkont brings six exceptional Belgian lambics, each paired with artisanal cheeses from La Fruitière.

And you don’t want to miss out on “Pleasanti Streets Presents” which is a new Mikkeller Beer Week tradition that brings together two guest breweries to host an exclusive dark-beer tasting alongside local chocolate producer Friis-Holm Chokolade. This edition features a collaboration with Dimensional Brewing and Lua Brewing.

As always there will be a ton of tap takeovers and rare bottle releases around town. Keep an eye on the Mikkeller Beer Week calendar where new events will be added continuously in the weeks and months leading up to MBCC.
