THE RUBIDIUM NIGHT RUN - FINAL GRAVITY DROP 3

CRISP, STARRY WINTER NIGHTS. SOFT, WARM TEXTILES AND THE WINTER OLYMPICS. THE NEW COLLECTION FROM FINAL GRAVITY - A COLLABORATION BETWEEN MIKKELLER AND FEMMES RÉGIONALES - IS INSPIRED BY EVERYTHING GREAT ABOUT THIS TIME OF YEAR IN THE DARK NORTH OF SCANDINAVIA.

The Scandinavian winters are long and cold and sun light is something you only dream of most of the time. When you run, you need to be dressed warmly and be well equipped. Final Gravity’s new collection is inspired by these cold and gloomy but cosy Scandinavian winters - but with a dazzling touch of the Olympics.

“As a kid, I remember tucking up on the couch at home in front of the TV with hot cocoa and a blanket watching the Winter Olympics; the figure skaters in their glamorous dresses and the fearless ski jumpers. There was something truly magical about it”, says Caroline Engelgaar, Creative Director of the design bureau Femmes Régionales and the designer of the new collection.

TECHNICAL UPSCALE AND COMFORT

The inspiration from the Winter Olympics appears in subtle and retro-inspired details like the new Final Gravity monogram in silicon print and the spectacular color choice Rubidium Red, which makes the collection the most colorful one to date. The new print ’Midnight Dot’ is inspired by starry winter skies, while the Galilei and Vanadium Long Sleeve Zip feature soft lining to make them extra warm for those cold days and nights where the temperature drops to zero or below.

Engelgaar has also focused on upscaling the different technical details of the styles, like zippers and collars and has further developed on materials and textiles. A brand new item that has been added to the collection, is the Faraday Running Gloves, which perfectly fit with your running watch.

FINAL GRAVITY

Final Gravity is an independent running apparel brand created by the microbrewery Mikkeller and designers Femmes Régionales. What might seem like an unusual partnership is tied together by a diverse and inclusive mindset, a passion for running, sharp aesthetics and a keen attention to detail.

We unite first-time athletes with elite runners, beer lovers with fashion addicts, hedonists with control freaks: all prepared to do their best, make a difference, run together or on their own, give their all and – above all – have a good time.

The name Final Gravity is derived from brewing terminology. It is defined as “the measured specific gravity once fermentation has completed.” The formula from Newton’s Theory of Gravity is used in the design as a graphic detail, and all style names are inspired by the world of science.
