In Copenhagen's former Meatpacking District, you’ll come across a place that will appeal to anyone who likes their IPAs ultra hoppy and fresh from the tank – that place is Warpigs Brewpub.
Located in a former slaughterhouse, this white-tiled slice of beer and barbecue heaven opened as a 50/50 partnership with our good friends from Three Floyds, based out of Munster, Indiana. The ambition was (and is) to serve beers brewed on-site alongside traditional Texas-style smokehouse barbecue. For that purpose, we’ve installed Europe’s largest high-quality smoker, allowing the chef to smoke up to one ton of meat a day. Anyone who knows beer will know that IPAs are best when fresh, and at Warpigs the IPAs flow straight from the tank to the taps. As a result, Warpigs has become renowned for their hoppy offerings; but also unmissable is their solid lineup of dark and robust beers, often laid to mature and develop in spent bourbon or rum barrels in the Warpigs cellar.
The Warpigs team will brew as many as eight different beers per week, changing between recurring favorites and brand-new recipes, which means that you’ll always be able to find something on the tap list that you’re unlikely to have had before. If you decide that you haven’t quite had enough on your way out, you can always have a crowler filled so you can enjoy your Warpigs beer on the go.
